National Nurse Practitioner Symposium To Take Place in July: Call for Abstracts
The University of Colorado Denver College of Nursing recently announced that they are discontinuing the National Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Symposium, citing the national financial downturn as a major factor in their decision. Fortunately, the core groups of organizers from the past 10 +/- years have stepped forward so excellence in continuing education for Nurse Practitioners on a national level will continue annually in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The National Nurse Practitioner Symposium will be held July 14-17, 2011 (exhibits July 14-16) at the Copper Conference Center in Copper Mountain, Colorado. They anticipate close to 1,000 loyal Nurse Practitioners, from around the country, that have grown accustomed to convening in the state that fostered the birth of the Nurse Practitioner movement, for four days of a content-rich, independently-organized event offering over 30 hours of CE through ACCME, ANCC and AANP, extensive exhibits and networking opportunities.
If you would like to submit a formal abstract for consideration you may submit your abstract online by accessing www.npsymposium.com and clicking the "Call for Abstracts" link. Abstracts need to be submitted no later than Monday, November 22, 2010. The National Nurse Practitioner Symposium is accepting abstracts on clinical topics, innovative practice settings, research, and other topics related to advanced practice nursing in primary care and acute care. Preference will be given to those with clinical applicability, demonstrative innovative models of care, completed research with outcome studies, and future-oriented perspectives, that will develop and enhance the skills of the healthcare provider.
