NPs Continue to Face Reimbursement Challenges
A Denver Post article highlights the struggle of one NP who has struggled for nearly seven months (since she opened her practice) to be recognized and reimbursed by insurance companies for her work. Her struggle is common among NPs in solo practices in Colorado though a 2008 state law specifies that NPs do not need to work under a physician to be credentialed and reimbursed by insurance companies.
